Regular Fishing Reports
This page no longer lists weekly fishing reports. They are now posted every Thursday on the home page.

Streamcraft (The ability to read the water)
Streamcraft, or the ability to read rivers, streams and lakes, is a basic requirement if one wants to catch trout on a regular basis.
It involves being able to interpret the sort of cover and camouflage that trout use to find food and avoid natural predators, then use it to ones advantage.
We teach the art of streamcraft as part of our introductory fly fishing sessions in a practical manner that is easy to understand and apply.

Entomology (The study of insects)

Experienced anglers know that a basic understanding of entomology is fundamental to knowing exactly which fly to use when fishing, and why.
Some people regard entomology as being too technical and confusing to master, but we will show you, in simple steps, how to recognise natural insects, moths, nymphs, etc. and help you make sense of their importance to trout. We will also show you how and when to apply life-like and delicate imitations that will fool trout.
